HGV Class 1 ADR Driver Permanent

Manpower UK are recruiting on behalf of our client who is within the Environmental Services Sector for a HGV Class 1 ADR driver to report into the Manchester site.

As the HGV Class 1 ADR driver you will be reporting to the Operations Manager and acting as part of a team, the successful candidate will operate anywhere in the UK fulfilling works for major oil companies & independent customers in the Forecourt Services sector.

Duties will include, ensuring all systems are working correctly and identifying root causes and provide customers with long term solution. There will be a high degree of manual work when cleaning site drainage and tank systems to ensure compliance with the EA Guidelines/regulation

This is a permanent full time opportunity that requires flexibility with the average working week being 50 hours but regular overtime is available at premium rates at the weekend. On occasion you will need to work and stay away from home overnight (fully expensed hotel accommodation).

The duties and responsibilities of this post are as follows:

• Operate as part of a team to perform and deliver site tankering works, which will include jetting and drain cleaning works, interceptor cleaning and servicing and reactive works on petrol filling stations and distribution centres.
• Respond and react to call outs for critical issues.

• Carry out Near miss & potential incident reporting. (In-house training will be provided).
• Liaison with customers on site to discuss on-going works and further services of the Company.
• Maintain a clean vehicle and ensure all equipment, tools, PPE, and other work items are in good order and repair and available for use at all times. The post holder is expected to inform supervision as soon as any damage is identified.
• Completion of all paperwork and submission in a timely manner to divisional supervision. Computer skills are required
• Liaison with supervision regarding all works and recommending improvements of possible opportunities.
• Any other duties for which the post holder is qualified for and capable of undertaking.

You will receive excellent training and will be put through courses to assist you in being successful in this role. Candidates should hold up to date licenses and be willing and capable to complete the manual side of the role along with the driving responsibilities.
