Adecco are proud to be recruiting on behalf of Cheshire Constabulary for an experienced Payroll Officer to support a busy team in their HQ in Winsford.
This role is initially on a temporary basis, 6-12 months.
As part of a team, you will be responsible for the timely and accurate payroll processing for employees working under Cheshire Fire and Rescue.
Liaising with an outsourced payroll provider, your main duties will be:
Processing pay changes in line with payroll timetable
Checking changes processed by Payroll Assistant
Updating and maintain records on HR system
Ensuring all actions are completed in payroll process and relevant forms done for pensions
Liaising closely with Finance for overpayments and processing of 3rd party deductions, incl cycle scheme and childcare vouchers
Payroll experience is essential, as well as outstanding attention to detail and the ability to manage queries over the phone and by email.
Salary is £23235 and role is full time.
