Job Profile SummaryThe Performance Management Lead will be a significant role within the growing UK Offshore Wind Program, which currently comprises the Mona and Morgan windfarms in the Irish Sea, as well as Morven in the North Sea. These offshore wind developments will play a material part in supporting the UK Government’s target of producing sufficient offshore wind energy to power every UK home by the end of this decade.Bp have formed a 50/50 JV partnership with Hamburg based EnBW in delivery of the programme.Job AdvertAbout the role:The Performance Management Lead reports to the Project Controls Manager and is responsible for delivering high quality project performance management information across the programme, to both internal and external stakeholders.Key Accountabilities:Responsible for the development and implementation of an effective and insightful project performance management system for the UK Offshore Wind programme.Responsible for leading the development of processes, procedures, systems and tools in support of the performance management systemResponsible for ensuring delivery of high quality performance information across the entire scope of the projects, spanning all workstreams, including Project Management, Engineering, Consenting, Stakeholder management, HSSE, Procurement, Legal etcResponsible for providing project leaders with high quality project performance insights to facilitate decision making processesLeading the delivery of regular weekly / monthly / quarterly reportsOwner of the project reporting calendarWorking with project leaders and workstream leaders in analysis of opportunities to close performance gaps, and in proposing appropriate courses of action.Working with the workstreams to assist them in development of performance reporting for their scope, with a focus on simplification and efficient working.Working with planning and cost teams to ensure alignment of performance data requirements across project systemsWorking with workstream / workpackage leaders in ensuring appropriate performance data flows from contractors / suppliersAbout you:Essential Education:Bachelor’s / Masters Degree in Engineering, Project Controls, Project Management or other relevant degreeEssential Experience:10+ years experience in delivery of performance management on multi-disciplinary large scale offshore projectsSolid, broad-based project experience in the concept development, selection, design and/or construction phases of projects with an excellent track record of delivery.Proven ability to harnessing the power of digital tools to maximise automation of performance data gathering from across project systems and toolsDemonstrable experience in transforming raw data into high quality and insightful performance management informationHigh degree of competence in the use of tools such as Microsoft PowerApps and PowerBI in delivery of performance management information.Self-motivation and a high level of individual initiative and self-reliance are required.Ability to interface, influence, and work effectively with members of Project Leadership.Bias for simplification and efficiency with focus on fit-for-purpose deliverables that meet the needs of the business.Strong ability to build partnerships, actively engage and respect contributions of others.Ability to keep things simple – Focus on efficiency with focus on fit-for-purpose deliverables that meet the needs of the business (given the nature / emerging nature of new energy)Able to create a performance culture that is designed to deliver successAbility to produce good quality written reports and summary presentations – able to communicate clarity from complexityDesirable Experience:Project Management Professional / Association of Project Management (APM) accreditedEntityProduction & OperationsJob Family GroupProject Management GroupRelocation availableNoTravel requiredYes - up to 25%CountryUnited KingdomAbout BPGAS AND LOW CARBON ENERGYAt bp we’re reimagining energy, and so could you.
