**My client are interested in people with a strong background in building pipelines for software deployment, automating tests and troubleshooting the areas around a deployment. Infrastructure engineers or cloud "infrastructure as code" engineers are not a skill set required at this time**

Overview of the Role

As the Reliability Engineer you will be expected to have experience of modern CI/CD tools and techniques, Gitlab and Jenkins to support internal partners who are developing the CI/CD capability and moving to deploy the supporting toolset.

You will be working to implement and then to operate and enhance the Kubernetes platform and cloud infrastructure, ensuring its smooth on-going operation to meet defined SLOs. Working with product squads to provide required platform services. Also responsible for leading automation, building tools for the lab and reduction of manual toil across all products.

You will form part of a collaborative, iterative and agile process in a multi-disciplined team helping deliver best in class digital solutions.



Responsibilities:

  • Work with product teams to ensure systems are secure, scalable and reliable
  • Driving initiatives to automate processes and reduce toil
  • Review deployment and operational environments, troubleshoot issues and managing technical operations
  • Monitoring and dash-boarding for application observability
  • Strong advocate for DevOps practices with experience building CI/CD pipelines
  • Work as part of a Site Reliability Engineering squad to ensure applications are effectively supported and monitored and that manual work is minimized

About You:

  • Strong experience of Site Reliability Engineering practices and principles
  • Strong experience in operational monitoring and dash-boarding for applications
  • Experience with source code management and version control (Git/GitHub/GitLab)
  • Experience with modern CI/CD tools and techniques
  • Previous involvement in all stages of the software delivery lifecycle
