This Software Implementation opportunity has been created by a manufacturing company who are looking for new ways to develop and improve their SQL Server - based software which they install in plants across the world. Your new role will see you using your mix of systems analyst skills as well as technical 3rd Line SQL Server support.
You'll thrive within a customer-facing environment and enjoy scoping out customers' requirements and providing pre and post live support for 2 weeks at a time. You'll spend the rest of the time working in the office and we can also offer working from home.
Your sense of humour and outgoing personality will shine in this role! In fact, we're much more focused on finding the right culture fit than technical skills.
Of course if you know SQL Server inside-out, T-SQL, SSRS, have DBA skills, can administer Windows Server and have Microsoft certifications to back these up, that would be ideal. However we can also offer training to get you on the right career path.
Your day-to-day as Software Implementation & Application Support Consultant involves planning software implementation projects, preparing test plans, reporting on SQL Server systems and SQL software performance, and analysis around where improvements can be made.
You'll be adept at training users and on-site IT staff so they can self-manage applications. You'll work within an ITIL environment.
You'll be working within a team of 8 Software Implementation & Application Support Consultants, and have a wider global colleague department of 16. Your team at home are the ones who have developed a range of SQL Server - based applications and are rolling out across the world, so it's an innovative and really progressive environment that you'll be joining.
